Quick thought: What if our plants were mute friends?
I find that the best way to keep plants alive is to talk to them!!!
It’s not just that plants like being talking too, it’s also that our brain do not see things we talk too the same way as things we don’t talk too. If you start the habit of talking to your plants, your brain will see them as sort of « mute friends » and give them higher priority of care then « objects ».
Also plants are really good listener and they are interested in EVERYTHING! So why not have a plant buddy to which you explain that project you are trying to make progress on or that challenge that’s bugging you? Just explaining it out loud can help you find your clarity, and explaining it to your plant might just be what you need to hear your intuition through the natural personification your brain will do for you!
It’s like when kids talk to their toys. The toys seem to « talk back » but it’s really the kids intuitive self speaking up.
And if looking at a plant and talking to it feels weird because you can’t figure out where to look or talk to, what about adding goggly eyes? Tell me if you tried or if you got a trick to keep your friends in good health!
